  • In this roundtable exercise, we invite suppliers to meet with agencies in a collaborative discussion on trends in the world of procurement. This is an opportunity for all involved to discuss what issues may exist in supplier relationships and how we can better serve our agencies.

  • During this morning session, attendees will hear from an elected official on their thoughts on the state of government procurement in Oklahoma
  • Attendees will then hear from a panel of both OMES Procurement Training and NIGP Chapter Ambassadors on the CPO program and the NIGP-CPP respectively

  • Ballroom - NIGP BUSINESS COUNCIL: WHAT DO THEY WANT?? HOW TO GIVE YOUR CUSTOMERS WHAT THEY REALLY, REALLY WANT
  • Procurement leaders are constantly faced with meeting their customers' demands, but can struggle to figure out exactly what they need—and what to do about it. This often leads to procuring solutions that do not meet customer needs. At Amazon, we have the same challenge and use a "Working Backwards" approach to determine what problem or opportunity the customer really has and to define a solution to address that. In this hands-on session, attendees will be guided through the "Working Backwards" methodology to identify a solution to a real-world procurement challenge they might face.
